PAYS Baseball/Softball Homepage
Welcome to the home of Plympton Baseball and Softball! Each year 140 boys and girls from the ages of 5-18 join our program. Registration takes place in February and games begin in late April. Please feel free to contact us with questions.
PAYS currently follows the age guidelines adopted by all youth baseball organizations. The cut off date is May 1st of each year. Your playing age is the age you are on April 30th. If you are 12 on April 30th, then you would play in the 11-12 year old (Senior division).
Divisions of Play.
TBall
Players need to be 5 or 6 by May1st to join. The children would meet once a week on Saturdays for usually an hour and a half. Skills are emphasized and a non competetive scrimmage would conclude practice.
Farm League
This division is for 7 and 8 year old boys and girls. Team sizes are small to maximize playing time and skill development. Teams usually meet two times a week during the weeknights. Click on the Farm League page for the schedule and rules.
Junior League
In this division, 9,10 and 11 year olds are eligibile to play. This is the first results oriented level of play. Usually two teams are formed and games are scheduled for play in Plympton and in Halifax against teams from Halifax. Click on the Junior League page for the schedule and rules.
Senior League
This is the highest level of baseball coordinated by PAYS.In this division, 11and 12 year olds are eligibile to play. Usually two teams are formed and games are scheduled for play in Plympton and in Halifax against teams from Halifax. Click on the Senior League page for the schedule and rules.
